The National Institute for Cancer Research (NICR), with the support of the Charles University, has concluded a Memorandum of Mutual Support and Cooperation with the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic (IHIS). “The cooperation will be conducted for the benefit of academic oncology, especially in the field of preparation of joint publications, development of health literacy or communication with current and future students of relevant biomedical disciplines,” said Aleksi Šedo, Director of the NICR. Other objectives include the development of societal awareness of cancer prevention issues, data sharing for defined scientific projects involving the contracting parties, and collaboration on specialisation training.
