Non-Coding Genome

No applications without basic research.

Development of alternative therapeutic approaches to inhibit receptor tyrosine kinases responsible for cell signaling disorders leading to a wide range of diseases including cancer. This goal is part of a project led by the group of Dr. P. Krejčí at the Faculty of Medicine of the Masaryk University. Our laboratory focuses on the development of inhibitors based on DNA aptamer technology.

One of the other parts of our research is the study of the structural behavior of single-stranded DNA fragments occurring in blood plasma. The aim of this part of the project is to find new principles for cancer diagnosis.
